Abject Street Media is a independent production entity invented out of necessity in 2006 to facilitate motion picture production at the actual poverty level. Faced with years of economic crisis and disaster, and the probability of never going into production, founder Geoff Gray-Lee embraced the notion of going into production using 1996 Hi-8 analog video camcorder technology and a 100% volunteer cast.
Abject Street Media's single technological advantage has been in switching platforms to Apple and securing access to an Apple MacBook Pro and its associated software, and the Apple Store Studio and Genius Bar programs.
Abject Street Media now encourages and provides opportunity and experience to serious-minded talent and production personnel who are financially, educationally, and/or culturally disfranchised. Productions include SUBJECT SET: ALCOHOL "Alcohol At Wit's End", "Alcohol Bait & Switch!", and "Alcohol and Class Action".
Future productions are to be announced.
Abject Street Media productions are distributed by WCEE.net.
