"SUBJECT SET: Alcohol" is a direct-to-DVD network television-style programing line-up comprised of the spin-offs AT WIT'S END (drama), BAIT & SWITCH! (sketch comedy), and CLASS ACTION (adventure). The trilogy was conceived in 2002 and realized in 2010. The first show in the series to be released is "Alcohol At Wit's End."
The WCEE.net Subject Set is the most complete "virtual experience" brand in educational entertainment. It is based on, and expanded from, the 1985 release "The Subject of a Moment" that School Library Journal called "outstanding in its dramatic presentation... strong impact without being preachy... an excellent purchase choice...", and Simon & Schuster Communications called "very high quality... quite impressive... accurate... real..."
The engaging Subject Set recreates fallacious and dishonorable decision-making from the point-of-view of all characters concerned. Initially following the perpetrator's unwitting downward spiral, audience identification quickly expands to include the victims, and the perpetrator's friends and family. Superficially, each Subject Set is about a topic such as alcohol but, as the secondary stories unfold, the two underlying subjects take center stage; reasoning and "self-image (that's identity and self-esteem)!" As the unflinching cultural exposé plays out, consistency in every character definition is called into question.
"SUBJECT SET: Alcohol" is an Abject Street Media production distributed by WCEE.net. Geoff Gray-Lee is creator and auteur.
